Jason Dean turns 35

My mom and I have had the privilege to celebrate our birthdays together over the years. Our birthdays are 3 days apart. I couldn't think of a better lady to share my birthday with. I have one birthday in-particular that my siblings will never let me live down. I was so excited for my birthday that the day after my moms birthday I took down all her birthday cards off the mantle to make room for my birthday cards. At the time I didn't think it was a big deal but now it was pretty silly of me.
As I am older now a birthday is just another day. But my sweet husband on the other hand LOVES the attention and loves to be spoiled. Sooooo I think he has talked about his birthday since March 21st, a day after my birthday.

We celebrate birthdays all week long but in this case it was been about 6 weeks. But I love to spoil this guy so it was a lot of fun.

Jason’s Mom came down for Easter dinner at the start of April and we were very productive and put up a shed. She paid for a good chunk of the shed for Jason’s birthday present. It was a chilly day but it was so nice to get it done. We had turkey dinner and had a great weekend watching General Conference.

This is where the birthday presents all began.

Jason set up his golf practicing net that my parents gave him for his birthday last year. It was such a sweet set up and his golf attire is simple the best ;)
Shirt: Golf Shirt
Shorts: Nike
Shoes: Sketchers
Socks: Moores
Hat: Rock 106.7

A few days before Jason’s birthday we went to Calgary to celebrate with Jason’s mom for the weekend. We had such a fun and relaxing weekend together. Friday night we went out to Jason’s favourite Restaurant. It is a donair place and their Chicken Scharwama is the best out there. After that we went to the Grand Opening of Target Canada, Golf Town, Homesense and Sport Chek. We came back to Jason’s moms and watched the season finale of Fashion Star.

Saturday morning was a day dedicated to Jason’s mom for Mothers Day. Jason made breakfast for her and I. After that we hit up Value Village to find some clothes for upcoming Zions Camp, went and bought Jason new temple pants and then went out for Vietnamese food at Mom Judi’s favourite place. We exchanged birthday and Mothers Day gifts and had a great weekend.

This is a picture of my Missionaries on FaceTime. We called them on Mothers Day. I love those beautiful smiles. I miss them so much but I am so proud of their dedication and service. Happy Mothers Day to my wonderful Mother and Mother in Law.

Well official Birthday DAY has finally arrived. It starts off with breakfast in bed/at the table,  afternoon presents from myself and my parents and then out for dinner at The Keg with Cherisse/Tyler and Marina/Dan. It was great to go out with some of the bestest friends.

On our way to The Keg

Growing up my mom would always do something special on our birthday but we ALSO would get our favourite meal for Sunday dinner. I always loved that tradition growing up so I thought we would carry it out in our family. This Sunday my siblings all came for dinner and Cherisse and Tylers family came too. It was a full house but I loved having everyone in our home. Just missing some nieces and nephews and Jason's mom. She was in charge of a fireside that night and so it was nice that we celebrated with her the weekend before. We also missed my parents of course. They are wonderful missionaries serving in the Willie Handcart Center. We miss them so much but are so grateful for their service. I am proud of my Missionary Parents. I guess you could say this was a kids party.

For dinner we had Jason's famous Jerk Chicken, funeral potatoes, broccoli salad, raw and roasted veggies, homemade buns, cookies and ice cream for the kids and red velvet cheesecake for the adults.

It wasn't my birthday but I needed one picture with these beautiful flowers and this delicious cake.

I love entertaining and having people over to our home. I love decorating, finding new recipes, love my family and love my hubby. Until next year! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASON DEAN. We have been through a lot this last year but with you by my side I know that we can get through anything. Love you to the moon.
