Dad's 70th Birthday

My Daddy turns 7-0

My Mom threw the best party for not only my Dad but also my Aunt Vicki and Aunt Ann. They all turned 70 this year. It was such a fun night. We played Jeopardy and the children did tributes to each of their parents. My mom is a wonder woman and goes to so much work for other people. Another great party! I am so grateful for my Aunts and Uncles and the support and love they have given me over the years. Most of all today I am grateful for my Daddy. He is the perfect Dad for me and I can't imagine another Dad in my life. He exemplifies goodness, hard work and kindness. I am so grateful and blessed to call him my dad and my friend. Love you Daddy.

Getting Nursery all set up

Over the past few months I have been trying to decide how to decorate Ella's nursery. I love so many different ideas but I have decided to go with the colour scheme of Cream, white, light blush and gold

Here are some pictures of the nursery and the progress it look to get to the end result. I love it so much and I can't wait to bring a sweet little baby home to this room. This is all happening so quick and we couldn't be more excited.

I found this fabric and lace at a thrift store. It was exactly what I was looking for.

We bought this crib on Amazon and I just love the look of it

Her change table with her blessing dress in the frame

These were some of the names that were in the running but we eventually decided on Ella Jane :)

Jason's mom came one weekend and helped make this baby quilt for our girl. I just love the colours and how it turned out. Judi is one talented lady and is always so willing to help with my sewing ideas. Next will be altering the blessing dress.

Before our baby girl arrives Jason and I finished these books and I did freezer meals with my Mom. We are getting ready for this baby to arrive.

Bridal Shower with Friends

Cherisse put on such a cute Baby Shower for Ella and I. She had many people that helped her and I felt so spoiled that night. Micah did the invite and it was so cute and she also helped her with the decorations. Many others helped set up and bring food. The whole night was so fun and I was overwhelmed by all the thoughtfulness from those that came. As I opened each gift I would get so excited and even teared up a time or two. Is this for real? Are these adorable little clothes going to go on my little girl in a few months?

The food was so delicious and the table was so pretty

More of the cute decorations

So much work was put into this shower and I can't say thank you enough

This was the only picture I snapped of friends that came. Gorgeous ladies right? Thank you to all that came and made the evening so much fun.

Big THANK YOU to my cousin and friend for the most beautiful baby shower ever. It was such a fun night with lots of laughs and a few tears from this emotional soon - to - be Momma.
