Street Wheelers Parade

Jason has a love for cars and this Friday was Street Wheelers here in Lethbridge. Jason drove his truck in the car parade in hopes to sell it. My Dad and Uncle Daryl were in town and came to watch for a bit and we also met up with Cherisse and Tyler and then went out for dinner at Earls. It was fun to see all the different old cars and also the cars that have been pimped up. Here are a few pictures and also pictures of Jason's racing truck. It is for sale so we figured by driving it around this weekend we might have a good chance. Jason is at the race track today to hang out with old racing buddies and I am on my way to visit with Julie Low Brinkerhoff. She is home for a few days and has her new little baby girl Claire with her. I can't wait to see both of them.

Stef & Jarett French

My Dear friend Stefanie Guenard got married this past weekend. She married Jarett French from Lethbridge. The make such a cute couple and are so great for each other. I met Stefanie in Lethbridge and she was in the same YSA ward as me. We served in the Relief Society Presidency together and became great friends. She is such an amazing person and an even better friend. We went on a vacation to Arizona a few years ago and had a blast. Jason and I were invited when Stef went through the temple for her first time and then for their Temple sealing. I was so thrilled and honored to go. Their wedding day was perfect. Weather was great, decorations were awesome, food was yummy, Stef looked amazing and perfect and their sealing was so sincere and touching. What a cute couple they make!!! I wish them nothing but happiness in their new lives together.

My Wonderful Husband!

I just loved the color of these flowers. I think I might add some orange color to the decor in our house. BEAUTIFUL!

Well, this is a blog about our life and a chance to praise my wonderful husband. So this past Friday I woke up and was really feeling sick. My whole body was aching and I had a high fever and a sore throat. I was not feeling well at all but I went to work and they sent me home. When Jason came home from work he had beautiful Roses, ice cream, ginger ale, soup, and also dinner so I didn't have to cook anything. I was soooo grateful for him and all he does for me. Every day I still pinch myself and wonder how I ever got to be so lucky to have him in my life. Definitely worth the wait that's for sure.

I am feeling back to normal now. It must have just been a 24 hours flu or something. And NO.... it wasn't "Morning Sickness" despite what Jason might have been telling everyone.

Turks & Caicos

My oldest sister Lisa got getting married to a wonderful guy named Ron. Jason and I traveled to Turks and Caicos to be there for their special day. The vacation was very relaxing and the island was as beautiful as it comes. White sandy beaches with vibrate ocean colors. Here are a few things that we did over the week on the island.

What a beautiful Bride and handsome Groom. I am so happy for my sister that she has found the love of her life. We love Ron and how happy he makes my sister. They were meant for each other and we are so happy they found each other.

This was our first day there. As you can tell we are pretty white. It didn't take long before we were as red as a lobster.

The weather was beautiful all week long. Then came Thursday, the day of the wedding and we all woke up to a down pour. For about 4 hours straight it poured rain. Lisa ran from one building to another to get ready and she handled everything so great. She put on her makeup, put on her dress and a big smile. She got married in a reception room in the hotel. There was about 25 friends and family that made it so share their special day. They were married on May 20, 2010 at 1:00pm. We took as many pictures as we could inside. The next day the sun came back out and Lisa and Ron got dressed up again to take some nice photos outside with the beautiful scenery. The children did not want to get dressed up again and they were probably on the waterslides most of the day anyways.
It will be hard to leave here but we are ready to get back to Canada and get settled into our home.

We played rook every night and then after rook we would usually go and jump in the pool and hot tub - even if it was raining.

We also tried wind sailing and that was a lot easier than wind surfing. Jason would do all the work and I would lay on the netting and suntan. The first day we went out the wind was blowing pretty hard and we would get going about 30miles/hr. The next day the wind wasn't as kind to us. Where was the Southern Alberta Wind when we needed it.

For Jason's birthday I booked a Sunset Cruise. It was very peaceful and a beautiful sight. They fed us appetizers and drinks. It was a lot of fun and nice to spend some time with just my man. How grateful I am to have him in my life.

Lucy was lucky enough to get to come on the vacation with us. She is seriously the best baby I have ever seen. She probably cried a total of 1 minute the whole trip. I was really sad to say good bye to her. I love that girl. Oh and yes I love her momma too.

Also for Jason's birthday we went out to a white glove restaurant to celebrate. He turned 32 this year. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUN! Thank you for being a great husband. My family gave him a gift certificate for 10 rounds of golf. I love how my family is so supportive. Ryan is taking the picture that's why he isn't apart of the photo.

This is a picture of us on the "Lazy River" Jason and I, Mel, Mom and Lucy would tube down this river for hours. It was so relaxing and I could have done it all day.
Jason and I tried wind surfing. The key word is "tried" It was definitely harder than it looks. In this pictureI was standing for a whole 10 seconds. As you can tell too there was a lot of wind that day and I was so close to sail away into the sunset. It was so embarrassing and Im sure a lot of people on the beach had a good laugh at Jason and I trying to stay on the board. O' well at least we tried.

Good bye Turks. Thanks for the sunshine, delicious food, bug bites and of course a sun tan.

MOVING!

MOVING!
Jason had been looking for a career change and had been applying for different jobs in Calgary and Lethbridge. We were really excited when a job opportunity came up to work for The Rock 106 and the River 107.7. Well he got the job and is an account manager and is responsible for selling advertisement for the radio stations. I was fortunate enough to also find a job and I am working for Devon Kutsch Orthodontics. I miss my old office in Calgary and working for Mike French but we are loving living in Lethbridge so far.
We ended up renting Jason's condo in Calgary and bought a nice home in Riverstone here in Lethbridge.

I found this chandelier and I just had to buy it. It reminded me of our chandelier at our wedding. I wanted to keep our wedding light but it was too big for our house and so when I came across this light I just couldn't resist.

I love the flooring and dark cabinets in this home. We feel so blessed to have found a nice home and we feel blessed how everything just seemed to fall into place for us to move to Lethbridge. This home was pretty much a "move-in" condition. The only thing that we changed was convert the family room into a theater room, painted the slate blue wall and changed the light in the kitchen. Other than that we moved in, unpacked and are loving life in Lethbridge.

Our house is full of plant ledges. This is one of the many that I have to fill.

When looking at houses to buy I think Jason was always scooping out which house would have a possibility of a theater room. This room was a perfect fit to set up a 110 screen to watch sports and movies on. I don't mind it at all either. Oprah is more than life size too :)

Valentines Day in Palm Springs

For Valentines Day and Family Day Jason and I headed to Palm Springs to soak up some sun, spend some time with my parents and get in a few rounds of golf. We spent our first Valentines day with a resort full of retired couples :) Everyone was so friendly there. Jason bought me earrings and a necklace that matched my engagement ring. I gave Jason a whole new golfing outfit. I love this man with all my heart. Happy Valentines Hun

On the Saturday before Valentines day we went out for dinner at Cheesecake Factory and I have never tasted such great food. We each had amazing dishes and loved every bite. We finished off the meal by all sharing a red velvet cake which was Heavenly. We will be go back there for sure next year.

Thank you mom and dad for taking good care of us for the weekend and for all your love and support. We think we will make this a tradition.

First Christmas Together

Our first Christmas tree. I put my wrapping in front of the tree and Jason's duct tape wrapping was hidden behind the bows.

Our first stockings together. How cute!

Jason filled my stocking with about 30 different gifts and he ran out of tape and so decided to use duct tape to finish it off. Silver is one of my favorite colors :)

For our first Christmas we spent Christmas Eve in Calgary with Jason's mom. We had Mexican food and played board games. Jason's friend Vince also came over to spend the evening with us. We opened pj's back at our condo that evening and then went back for morning breakfast and afternoon with Mom/Judi. Every Christmas morning for breakfast Jason's mom makes a meal called "Christmas Morning WifeSaver" It is full with just about everything that you would cook for breakfast - eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, bread, milk. It was just missing fruit :) This is Jason's favorite breakfast and so I guess I will be learning how to make it.

This is my crazy husband

For our wedding present my brothers and sisters gave us a gift certificate to Lake Louise. We spent part of our Christmas holidays to go for an evening. It was so beautiful and very relaxing. Thank you again for the thoughtful gift. It was really appreciated. Love you all
