Bridal Shower with Friends

Cherisse put on such a cute Baby Shower for Ella and I. She had many people that helped her and I felt so spoiled that night. Micah did the invite and it was so cute and she also helped her with the decorations. Many others helped set up and bring food. The whole night was so fun and I was overwhelmed by all the thoughtfulness from those that came. As I opened each gift I would get so excited and even teared up a time or two. Is this for real? Are these adorable little clothes going to go on my little girl in a few months?

The food was so delicious and the table was so pretty

More of the cute decorations

So much work was put into this shower and I can't say thank you enough

This was the only picture I snapped of friends that came. Gorgeous ladies right? Thank you to all that came and made the evening so much fun.

Big THANK YOU to my cousin and friend for the most beautiful baby shower ever. It was such a fun night with lots of laughs and a few tears from this emotional soon - to - be Momma.

Valentines Day 2014

Well another Valentines Day has come and gone
Jason spoiled me and made the most delicious dinner for me tonight. He worked very hard to make it perfect and he was even a good sport and wore my apron. I actually put me feet up most of the day but I did chip in and made dessert.
Here are a few pictures of the day.
I love his man more and more every day. Happy Valentines Day Hun!

Aliah had a baby … say WHAT!

My niece Aliah had the cutest baby boy back in November. I can still remember when Aliah was born. I can't believe she is old enough to have a baby. It is so fun seeing her as a mom and she is a natural at motherhood.

In January our family put on a baby shower for her. We had the shower at Ryans house. Her fiancé Kenny had to work and couldn't make it. Isn't her little guy the cutest?

Lisa is such a young Grandma. People always confused Aliah and her for sisters.

Baby Kicks

Another exciting moment.

Well little angel inside of me you are sure moving around a lot lately. During the day as I am up moving around and working I don't notice a lot of movement but the moment I sit down you are moving all over the place.

I had my monthly drs appointment with Dr. Kahn today and you were kicking and moving all over the place. Your heart rate was at 140 beats/min. I just am so excited to meet you and hold you in my arms. Its amazing how much I love you already. At moments if I hold really still I can see my stomach move from your tiny little kicks.

Your daddy is anxiously awaiting to feel that first kick but it hasn't happened yet. Everytime he puts his hand on my tummy you seem to stop all movement. Very soon you will be too big to hide from him or I. He wants to feel you kick so bad. He is always touching my tummy to feel any movement from his baby girl. He loves you so much already too and is excited for you to be daddy's little girl.

We are getting things ready for your nursery. Many nights I sit in the rocking chair staring at paint swatches and fabric, dreaming up a cute room for you to come home to. Your momma loves to decorate and make things pretty so I hope you like it and it makes you sleep during the night ;)

Every day I listen to baby soothing music on the computer as I write my thoughts down or as I'm working. Everytime I play the music you seem to stop moving. Maybe this will help you when you are born and help you sleep. Oh my goodness I am so excited to be your mom. We have waited for you our whole life and I can't believe the time is coming in a few short months. Right now it seems like forever away until May 15 but I'm sure it will be here before I know it.

I hope that I am a good mom and that you will love me in return. Your closet is getting stuffed with baby clothes. Some are hand me downs from cousin Lucy and some I couldn't resist buying for you.

Keep on growing in there and keep getting stronger. I love you my little angel.

January 25, 2014 - Your daddy finally felt you kick. He was so excited and kept his hand on my belly on my belly most the night to feel more movement from you.

Your cousin Lucy is a little excited for you to be born as well. She even was playing puppets with my tummy thinking that you could respond back. She is sure excited to meet you along with all your other cousins and family.

Christmas 2013

This Christmas we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with Jason's mom. It was nice to spend some time together and relax. For Christmas Eve we went to the Olive Garden for dinner. We then came back to the house, opened our pjs, watched some tv and then headed off to bed.

Jason's mom made this outfit when she was pregnant. She didn't know if she was having a boy or a girl. Peach wasn't Jason's colour so our little baby will get some use out of it.

Around noon we said goodbye to Jason's mom and headed to Cardston to with my parents a Merry Christmas. It is nice being able to see both sides of the family at Christmas time.

This was me on the 27th of December - 21 weeks pregnant. This is getting exciting.

This year for my parents gift they wanted a gift of service. Jason and I did 25 days of Random Acts of Kindness. It was a fun project to do together as a family and remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Gender Reveal

December 18 - today is the day that we find out if our little angel is a girl or a boy.
Most people in our family are thinking boy. I guess before long we will find out.

The Ultrasound was AMAZING! This day has changed my life forever. It still hasn’t seemed like I was really pregnant until I saw that cute little baby on the computer screen. Baby was moving around a lot, touching their face and kicking its legs. Jason was there to watch the whole thing and to try and determine the sex of the baby.
The miracle of life is an amazing thing. That is our little angel inside of me. How can I love him/her so much already? My heart is so full this day and I thank my Heavenly Father for this great blessing.
The ultrasound tech would not give us any hints. I have a Dr’s appointment on Tuesday so we will wait until then.

HOLD THE PHONE......

It is still December 18th. We have friends in the ward and the husband is a Radiologist. We thought that maybe if he was working today that he could give us the results. Unfortunatly he wasn’t working but I  was texting his wife tonight and she said he could look it up and see what the results were. She asked me if I wanted to know and of course I said yes. They also offered for Jason and I to come out to their house and he would go through the ultrasound with us and explain everything. So it was about 10pm at night and Jason and I put on our coats and went down the road.

Kristy had a cute present for us and she said the results were inside. Jason wanted to see the results on the computer screen but I opened the present right away. The cutest little girl outfit was inside. Some baby gap little leggings and white shirt were so adorable and so thoughtful. Lee went through the ultrasound with Jason and I. He told us that we are having a healthy baby and things look really good. It came to the part where the gender was revealed and Lee’s said “ now here is the labia” .... at that point Jason looked at me and said “ I don’t have that... we are having a girl?”

I think we both were shocked because we both thought it was going to be a boy. Not that we were sad in the least bit but all the online myths were leading to BOY. This is probably the best day of our life, after being sealed of course. We are having a baby girl and she is healthy!

Kristy and Lee were so thoughtful and kind to do that for us and it meant the world to us.

We got home that night and Jason jumped on the computer to start looking up baby names. He is so excited to have his little princess and to be a daddy. He is going to be an awesome dad and we are still pinching ourselves that this is all real.

GENDER REVEAL:

A few days later we were at my parents house for our annual Christmas to Christ dinner and so I thought I would do something cute to announce what we were having. I had everyone make their guesses with either moustaches or hair bows. Most everyone was thinking boy.
