Coeur d'Alene - Camping
This year we went camping in Coeur d'Alene
Uncle Dallen and Aunt Stacy's family joined us too. It was fun to get away and is a beautiful place to visit. Jason went golfing, I went shopping, we went to a parade, went on some hikes and had campfires. It was a fun weekend away.
I think we are lost.

Air Show
Every year Lethbridge does an Air Show. Jason got tickets and so we decided to go spend our Saturday at the Airshow. It was pretty cool to see all the different kind of airplanes. Jason's favorite was the CF-18. Here are a few pictures. Mel and Troy and their kids came too. You know when you are at the airshow when?..... your head is tilted upwards for hours :) This is classic picture of my nephew Kash from the day.

New Car/Truck
Jason's mom comes to visit often and one weekend she decided to go look at new cars/trucks at a local dealership here in Lethbridge. She went to see her options and actually drove away with a new vehicle. A deal that she couldn't pass up. Here are a couple pictures of her new ride. She calls it her LIMO. Its a 2011 Chevy HHR. What a fun car for her.

Gregson/Leavitt girl weekend!
Shaunie and Daina Gregson have been friends since childhood. They came out for a girls weekend. It was so fun to just hang out, relax, have lots of laugh and eat yummy food.
A few weekends later my nephew Kash was baptized. It was such a special day for him. He asked me to speak on "Baptism". I love that little boy.
Grandma/Grandpa Leavitt always do this for her Grandchildren.
It is such a cute idea

Jason's birthday
Some like to celebrate their birthday for a day, couple days, a week.... well for my sweet husband he started mentioning his birthday back in February when he bought my birthday present. We were down in California visiting my parents and he saw a
hard-drive he wanted for his birthday in MAY. I agreed to buy it but that he couldn't use it until his birthday. I don't think he thought I was serious but I was. I hide it away so he couldn't find it and start using it. Also when we were in California we went to the Cheesecake factory and had Red Velvet Cheesecake. He mentioned to me that he wanted the same cake for his birthday.
Here are the events that happened leading up to Jason's birthday. The Friday before his birthday we went out to Cardston to have a bon fire and also celebrate his birthday with his mom and some of my family. We had a fun night sitting by the fire, eating smores that Jason's mom brought and chatting until it got too cold out. Jason got his favorite present being rounds of GOLF at Evergreen from his mom.
Monday night we went out to Tony Romas to celebrate his free birthday dinner. For some reason we still ended up spending 30 dollars. - Not really a free dinner but it was nice to go out.
So finally May 17th is here - the real birth"DAY". It started with breakfast in bed, presents through out the day in random places for him, golfing with myself, my Dad, Ryan, and then back to our place for dinner and cake.
Red Velvet Cheesecake: "Don't mess it up Carmen" were the words that Jason said to me all week leading up to his birthday. I told him he would just have to eat whatever cake I make and to pretend that he likes it no matter what. LOL. All kidding aside I searched website after website, blog after blog and finally came up with one that I thought would be the best.
I took a picture of the cake before the icing went on. I started the cake the night before because the cheesecake was to be chilled and frozen overnight.
Mel and kids gave Jason some mechanical gloves and his favorite treats, M&M's, Ryan gave him a head cover for his golf club.
For a boy that doesn't like birthdays he seemed to enjoy his own and the presents that he received.
My parents gave Jason a portable DVD to take on our trips.
Cherisse and Tyler also came to celebrate Jason's birthday. Cher was kind enough to cut Jason's hair for a kind birthday gift.
He was pretty excited to FINALLY get his external hard drive
He was just a little excited to cut into the cake. He is so cute
Thank you to all those who celebrated Jason's birthday on the weekend and on his actually birthday. We love you all and are so grateful for your love and support.
Jason needed some help from Lucy. She loves her Uncle Jason
Doesn't it look pretty?
I love this guy. I hope you had a happy birthday hun and I love you so much.

Kentucky Derby Birthday Party - Love you Dad
Another event checked off my dads "Bucket List" - as he calls it. My dad grew up with a love of horses. His father had race horses and my dad helped train and be apart of the whole horse racing experience. He always loves to tell stories of his horses and especially Smoke Shadow. When I was younger we had a little shelton pony and her name was Horsey Prince. We loved that little pony!
This past Christmas my mom and kids gave my dad the best Christmas present ever. We got him tickets to the Kentucky Derby. He was SO excited.
Here is a picture with most of the grandkids with Grandpa after he opened his present
Before my dad went to Kentucky we had a birthday party for him and the Theme of course was "THE DERBY". My mom made up racing games, the girls helped decorate and my mom even had a cake with a picture of my grandpa Rulons horse, Pagan Queen. Everyone that came to the party dressed up like we were going to the DERBY. We drank virgin mint jules for the winning lap. It was such a fun night and I was so excited for my dad. Troy and Ryan also went with my dad to the Derby.
Here are a couple pictures of the fun birthday party. My mom is the queen of planning parties.
We played a horse racing game. Each team had a jockey, trainer and owner. The jockey had to answer questions about the Kentucky Derby and then moved around the track to the finish line. It was pretty entertaining. In the end Ryan came from behind to win. The trainer was Ryan's cute girlfriend Sam and the owner was Uncle Daryl. Too Fun! The were awarded with Red Roses.
Here are a couple pictures of the actual Kentucky Derby

Ryan and Troy surprised my Dad with a Book Signing with Ron Turcotte..(Jockey that rode "Secretariat") and his exercise rider Charlie Davis. Pretty Sweet!
This was a pony that they saw in a stable - reminded everyone of our pony Horse Prince.
