Turks & Caicos

My oldest sister Lisa got getting married to a wonderful guy named Ron. Jason and I traveled to Turks and Caicos to be there for their special day. The vacation was very relaxing and the island was as beautiful as it comes. White sandy beaches with vibrate ocean colors. Here are a few things that we did over the week on the island.

What a beautiful Bride and handsome Groom. I am so happy for my sister that she has found the love of her life. We love Ron and how happy he makes my sister. They were meant for each other and we are so happy they found each other.

This was our first day there. As you can tell we are pretty white. It didn't take long before we were as red as a lobster.

The weather was beautiful all week long. Then came Thursday, the day of the wedding and we all woke up to a down pour. For about 4 hours straight it poured rain. Lisa ran from one building to another to get ready and she handled everything so great. She put on her makeup, put on her dress and a big smile. She got married in a reception room in the hotel. There was about 25 friends and family that made it so share their special day. They were married on May 20, 2010 at 1:00pm. We took as many pictures as we could inside. The next day the sun came back out and Lisa and Ron got dressed up again to take some nice photos outside with the beautiful scenery. The children did not want to get dressed up again and they were probably on the waterslides most of the day anyways.
It will be hard to leave here but we are ready to get back to Canada and get settled into our home.

We played rook every night and then after rook we would usually go and jump in the pool and hot tub - even if it was raining.

We also tried wind sailing and that was a lot easier than wind surfing. Jason would do all the work and I would lay on the netting and suntan. The first day we went out the wind was blowing pretty hard and we would get going about 30miles/hr. The next day the wind wasn't as kind to us. Where was the Southern Alberta Wind when we needed it.

For Jason's birthday I booked a Sunset Cruise. It was very peaceful and a beautiful sight. They fed us appetizers and drinks. It was a lot of fun and nice to spend some time with just my man. How grateful I am to have him in my life.

Lucy was lucky enough to get to come on the vacation with us. She is seriously the best baby I have ever seen. She probably cried a total of 1 minute the whole trip. I was really sad to say good bye to her. I love that girl. Oh and yes I love her momma too.

Also for Jason's birthday we went out to a white glove restaurant to celebrate. He turned 32 this year. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUN! Thank you for being a great husband. My family gave him a gift certificate for 10 rounds of golf. I love how my family is so supportive. Ryan is taking the picture that's why he isn't apart of the photo.

This is a picture of us on the "Lazy River" Jason and I, Mel, Mom and Lucy would tube down this river for hours. It was so relaxing and I could have done it all day.
Jason and I tried wind surfing. The key word is "tried" It was definitely harder than it looks. In this pictureI was standing for a whole 10 seconds. As you can tell too there was a lot of wind that day and I was so close to sail away into the sunset. It was so embarrassing and Im sure a lot of people on the beach had a good laugh at Jason and I trying to stay on the board. O' well at least we tried.

Good bye Turks. Thanks for the sunshine, delicious food, bug bites and of course a sun tan.
