Hearts Hearts and More Hearts

Valentines Day 2013

Well its Valentines Day in the Gourlie home. I always find it funny that they have a day set aside for LOVE. I often think, " why do we need a day to tell each other how you feel and do sweet things?"
I feel blessed that Jason and I say "I love you" everyday, a few times a day.  I love this guy! He has so many great qualities and one of the best things I love about Jason is how much he LOVES me. He loves me for who I am and all my faults and insecurities. He always wants to spend time with me and every time he or I come home from work we are excited to see each other.

A couple days before Valentines Jason took me to the Canadian Tenors and they were amazing. I could listen to them all night long. If you haven't heard of them or listened to their music then you are missing out. They are fantastic!

Dinner at Earls before the show.

14th

This year is the year to see how many things I can make out of hearts. I kind of went overboard but it was a lot of fun. How many heart shapes do you count in this post?  I love making things special for my man and the best part is that he LOVES it and he appreciates all the effort. He always compliments me on the effort I put in. Love this guy!

This was breakfast that I made for Jason but he was running late for work and so all he had time for was the strawberry banana smoothie.

We both had a busy day of work and dealing with rentals. He got home around 6 and we spent the evening together.

We received cookies from some very special people. First my little Sunbeam, Tait Low stopped by with a Valentine and cookies. He is just the cutest kid and is always so thoughtful. He will make some girl very lucky one day. We love the Low family and they have been so warm and welcoming since we have moved into the ward.

Then for no reason Cherisse and Lyla stopped by with a dozen sugar cookies. How cute is she?!!! Love that girl.

Getting ready for dinner. I love decorating for different themes and occasions. Valentines decorations don't stay up very long but I love all the red and hearts.

Well as I thought of what to make for dinner tonight I thought..." What would Jason love? Lets do a romantic candle-light dinner and do something fancy. Steak? Double Stuffed Potatoes? Asparagus? Yep.... that sounds good." Well we had a candle-light dinner but I knew what Jason really loves and that is PIZZA and why not make it into a heart. He LOVED it!

I love wrapping presents and a Valentines gift is no exception.

We then opened presents. Jason was so sweet and got me my own personal M&Ms. He customized them to read: I LOVE YOU, Lucky in LOVE, Carmen, Patriots (my favourite NFL team) So cute!

I bought this jersey back in November and was waiting until Valentines Day to give to Jason. Last week he told me he really wanted a Blue Jays Jersey and was looking online to buy one. Little did he know that he has an awesome and observant wife and I had already bought him one. Needless to say he was thrilled.

To finish the night we had heart shaped Cheesecake with chocolate dipped strawberries. Happy Valentines Day. I love my hubby so much and I also LOVE my friends and family. I feel so blessed to have so many people that I love.

I counted 44 different heart items and photographed 124 hearts :) Thats a lot of LOVE!
