Christmas 2013

This Christmas we spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with Jason's mom. It was nice to spend some time together and relax. For Christmas Eve we went to the Olive Garden for dinner. We then came back to the house, opened our pjs, watched some tv and then headed off to bed.

Jason's mom made this outfit when she was pregnant. She didn't know if she was having a boy or a girl. Peach wasn't Jason's colour so our little baby will get some use out of it.

Around noon we said goodbye to Jason's mom and headed to Cardston to with my parents a Merry Christmas. It is nice being able to see both sides of the family at Christmas time.

This was me on the 27th of December - 21 weeks pregnant. This is getting exciting.

This year for my parents gift they wanted a gift of service. Jason and I did 25 days of Random Acts of Kindness. It was a fun project to do together as a family and remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Gender Reveal

December 18 - today is the day that we find out if our little angel is a girl or a boy.
Most people in our family are thinking boy. I guess before long we will find out.

The Ultrasound was AMAZING! This day has changed my life forever. It still hasn’t seemed like I was really pregnant until I saw that cute little baby on the computer screen. Baby was moving around a lot, touching their face and kicking its legs. Jason was there to watch the whole thing and to try and determine the sex of the baby.
The miracle of life is an amazing thing. That is our little angel inside of me. How can I love him/her so much already? My heart is so full this day and I thank my Heavenly Father for this great blessing.
The ultrasound tech would not give us any hints. I have a Dr’s appointment on Tuesday so we will wait until then.

HOLD THE PHONE......

It is still December 18th. We have friends in the ward and the husband is a Radiologist. We thought that maybe if he was working today that he could give us the results. Unfortunatly he wasn’t working but I  was texting his wife tonight and she said he could look it up and see what the results were. She asked me if I wanted to know and of course I said yes. They also offered for Jason and I to come out to their house and he would go through the ultrasound with us and explain everything. So it was about 10pm at night and Jason and I put on our coats and went down the road.

Kristy had a cute present for us and she said the results were inside. Jason wanted to see the results on the computer screen but I opened the present right away. The cutest little girl outfit was inside. Some baby gap little leggings and white shirt were so adorable and so thoughtful. Lee went through the ultrasound with Jason and I. He told us that we are having a healthy baby and things look really good. It came to the part where the gender was revealed and Lee’s said “ now here is the labia” .... at that point Jason looked at me and said “ I don’t have that... we are having a girl?”

I think we both were shocked because we both thought it was going to be a boy. Not that we were sad in the least bit but all the online myths were leading to BOY. This is probably the best day of our life, after being sealed of course. We are having a baby girl and she is healthy!

Kristy and Lee were so thoughtful and kind to do that for us and it meant the world to us.

We got home that night and Jason jumped on the computer to start looking up baby names. He is so excited to have his little princess and to be a daddy. He is going to be an awesome dad and we are still pinching ourselves that this is all real.

GENDER REVEAL:

A few days later we were at my parents house for our annual Christmas to Christ dinner and so I thought I would do something cute to announce what we were having. I had everyone make their guesses with either moustaches or hair bows. Most everyone was thinking boy.

Anniversary Weekend

For our Anniversary we spent the morning at the Temple and then we headed down to Montana for the weekend.  We stayed at Meadow Lake and it was very relaxing. Jason gave me the other side to my wedding ring. I absolutely love it. I gave him a new watch and a  baby DUCKS jersey for our little bundle of joy.

We spent the weekend looking at baby items. It is still surreal for us but so exciting. So many things to buy and so many choices.

Farewell and Welcome Home Elder/Sister Leavitt

Farewell

Here are a few pictures of my parents Farewell and Welcome Home pictures. So proud of my parents and the example they have been of service through out their life.

My parents got 15 mins out of town and something went wrong with their motorhome. Next thing we know they were hitching a ride and coming back to Cardston. They had the motorhome towed back to Cardston, had the issue fixed and then headed out of town for their second time.

Welcome Home

6 long months flew by. After all the excitement of telling them that we are expecting, we all sat down and they gave out gifts to the grandchildren. Camo hats and cowboy boots straight from Wyoming. It was such a fun night and so glad they made it home safely.
